Much has been achieved in a very short space of time, Jim Hartnett Skelton United Club Chairman said;-
“We have been working very hard alongside the North Riding County FA for the past 6-12 months to ensure that our club met the high standards required to receive such an accolade”. He continued “There are many benefits from being awarded this status but the most important benefit is the recognition, from The FA that the club demonstrates to all members, parents and the public that we are a well organised, safe club offering opportunities for all” He went on to say, “None of this could have been achieved without the tremendous work our Club group of volunteers have put in.”
Mayor Brian Briggs said:-
“I think what the club have achieved in such a short space of time is fantastic for the whole community, everyone is a winner and the hard work and dedication of all the volunteers is very much appreciated”
