Welcome to Skelton United Junior Football Club
Formed in 2008 Skelton to provide local supervised football to the local area of Skelton.
'Local Football for Local Children'
This is the simple ethos on which Skelton United Junior Football Club is based.
It was recognised that families were having to travel away from their community to access Junior Football. We are linked on an extended school basis to Skelton Primary School.
We both believe that every child matters, and therefore our club will be INclusive, not EXclusive.
As a club, we are looking for children, and their parents, to enjoy this footballing experience. Whilst we appreciate football is a competitive sport, we do not promote a 'Win At All Costs' approach.
We believe that the game that is presently played on a professional level, at times, gives negative messages to young people. Respect for other Club members (be that officials, other parents and fellow team mates) should be at the heart of all football. At Skelton United, we intend to adhere to The FA's guidelines on Player, Parent and Coach conduct.
Within the next 12 months, we will have achieved the FA Charter Standard. This will prove our commitment to quality and excellence in Junior Football. |
